Ennismore has announced plans to open its first hotel under The Hoxton brand in Scandinavia.

The Hoxton, Oslo is scheduled to open in 2027 in partnership with AB Invest and Møller Eiendom, marking Ennismore’s first property in Norway.

The hotel will be situated by Oslo’s government quarter, a block from the city’s main street – Karl Johans gate.

This area is currently undergoing a revitalisation project, which will see it transform into a “green and car-free neighbourhood” with attractions including the Deich, House of Photography cultural hub also opening in 2027.

The hotel is set to feature 144 rooms, the brand’s The Apartment meetings and events space (170 sqm), plus three food and beverage outlets curated by Ennismore’s studio Carte Blanched – these will include an all-day dining destination, a restaurant and cocktail bar.

Ennismore’s in-house interior design firm, AIME Studios, will once again be behind the hotel interiors.

Sharan Pasricha, founder & co-CEO of Ennismore, said:

“We are thrilled to be the first international lifestyle hospitality brand in Oslo. The Hoxton takes pride in being located in vibrant, up-and-coming neighbourhoods, and we are honoured to partner with AB Invest and Møller Eiendom to welcome locals and guests to Oslo’s revitalised government district.”

The Hoxton brand launched in London’s Shoreditch in 2006 and is part of Ennismore, in which Accor holds a majority stake. The brand currently has 16 properties open across Europe and North America, with the latest opening in Vienna.

Last month, Ennismore announced plans for a Florence hotel, scheduled to open later this year.
