United Airlines is promoting its relationship with Welsh football team Wrexham AFC through the introduction of onboard amenities.
The airline, which became a front-of-shirt sponsor for the men’s and women’s teams in June 2023, is celebrating the team’s recent promotion to League One with a set of Wrexham-inspired amenity kits and pyjamas for travellers in its premium cabins.
Travellers flying in United’s Premium Plus and Polaris cabins on long-haul international routes from 1 June will receive an amenity kit sporting the Wrexham crest.
There are slight differences between the kits in Premium Plus and Polaris – the former is a slim pouch while the latter is a case with a handle, wraparound zipper and loop so it can be hung on a hook.
Available in red, black or white, both reusable kits include an eye mask, ear plugs, socks, lip balm, a cleansing towelette, bamboo toothbrush, toothpaste and Therabody hand cream. United Polaris cases also come with a Therabody eye serum, face spray, tissues and a United pen.
The airline also collaborated with the football team to design a set of pyjamas for travellers in United Polaris on flights 14 hours or longer. The lightweight pyjama set is designed to resemble the team jersey and includes a red, long-sleeve shirt with both the team and carrier’s logo on the front, along with grey trousers with the United logo on the hip.
Wrexham AFC is owned by co-chairmen Ryan Reynolds and Rob McElhenney, who also star in the series Welcome to Wrexham on Disney+.

United is also set to sponsor the team’s North American summer tour, flying the teams to games and providing MileagePlus members with “exclusive offerings”.
Last week United also unveiled a new inflight safety video filmed within an airplane-inspired sequential reaction machine.
