Hyatt has opened a 591-room Nashville hotel under its Grand Hyatt brand, as part of the downtown Nashville Yards development.

The Grand Hyatt Nashville occupies a 25-floor tower, with interior design taking inspiration from the site’s history “by incorporating reference to the rail lines in large art installations and creative lobby seating that pays homage to the lumber yard”.

Features include a rooftop bar and lounge, a fifth floor outdoor pool deck, and over 7,000 sqm of meeting and events space including a 1,850 sqm ballroom.

There are a total of seven food and beverage outlets including The Nashville Grange, serving “Tennessee to table cuisine”, and The Continental, which offers “a nouvelle approach to classic American fare”. The latter of these will open in phases, initially for carry-out, curbside and delivery, with dine-in reservations opening later this year.

Finally R+R Wellness offers spa facilities including an “aromatherapy blending bar”, and an “experience lounge where guests can get lost in the healing frequency of custom Wholetones rhythms and a guided meditation”.

The 18-acre Nashville Yards development also comprises the historic Union Station Hotel (part of Marriott’s Autograph Collection), and once completed will offer a four-acre entertainment district and concert venue by AEG Worldwide and MGM, as well as office space and an urban park spanning from Broadway to Church Street.

The Grand Hyatt Nashville joins 12 other Hyatt properties in the Nashville area, under brands including Hyatt Place, Hyatt House, Thompson and The Unbound Collection.

Commenting on the news Cary Mack, co-managing partner of Southwest Value Partners, the owner and developer of Nashville Yards, said:

“We are delighted to celebrate the grand opening of Grand Hyatt Nashville, a truly exceptional hotel located in the heart of downtown Music City and the very first project to open its doors within the Nashville Yards development.

“I’m incredibly proud of the work that’s gone into creating such an extraordinary property that blends Nashville’s history and culture with outstanding amenities, stunning design, and industry-leading customer service. Above all, I wish to express our sincere gratitude to our partners at Clark Construction Group and Bell and Associates Construction, along with the men and women who have worked day-in and day-out to bring our vision to life.”
