Airbus has unveiled its latest Airspace cabin brand, which will debut on the manufacturer’s A330 neo aircraft.
Airspace by Airbus has been designed around four key pillars - Comfort, Ambience, Services and Design, and will offer “a sophisticated, flexible canvas as a back-drop to enhance the airlines’ own brands”.
Enhanced features will include larger overhead storage bins, “spacious and contemporary lavatories”, wider seats (18 inches in economy) and aisles, and unobstructed under-seat foot space.
Airbus says the new Airspace cabins “will be more relaxing, inspiring, beautiful and functional”, and will “stimulate a unique and leading passenger experience”.
Other new features include the latest LED technology ambient lighting, as well as “clean, straight lines and shapes, clear surfaces, and also a unique, customizable welcome area”.
Toilets will feature "antibacterial surfaces" and "touchless flushing and taps, discreet aroma dispensers and soothing, ambient sounds".
The manufacturer says that the cabin design for its forthcoming A330 neo aircraft “embodies Airspace by Airbus and is inspired by the cabin of its Widebody sibling, the new A350 XWB”.
Airbus has launched a microsite with more details at airspace.airbus.com.
