British Airways has relaunched the online platform for its On Business loyalty programme, aimed at companies and their employees.

Business Traveller forum posters first reported that the site was down around February last year, with members having to contact BA’s call centre to redeem reward flights and cabin upgrades using On Business Points.

But in an email sent to members this week, the airline said that “We’re pleased to confirm that our On Business online platform is now available”.

“You can now access your account, redeem your On Business Points on Reward Flights and cabin upgrades, or check your balance through onbusiness.com, making it easier for you to book and manage business travel,” the email continued.

Members will need to reset their password, and BA also said it had added “an extra layer of protection” for users looking to access their account, “using multi-factor authentication which is widely-used by other online services, such as online banking”.

Members are being asked to download one of three authenticator apps (FreeOTP, Google Authenticator or Microsoft Authenticator) in order to generate a One Time Password each time they log in.

The On Business programme enables small and medium businesses (SMEs) to earn Business Points on company travel, which can then be redeemed against reward flights or cabin upgrades with British Airways, American Airlines and Iberia.

Individuals who are members of BA’s Executive Club loyalty scheme can earn Avios for personal use alongside Business Points for their company.
