After 26 years, Air Canada has officially resumed operations between Toronto and Osaka’s Kansai Airport (KIX).

Following Vancouver, Toronto becomes the second Canadian destination from KIX, operating as a three times a week seasonal service until 26 October.

From Kansai, AC60 will depart on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays at 1905, arriving in Toronto at 1900 on the same evening.

From Toronto, AC59 will depart every Monday, Wednesday and Friday at 1400, arriving in Kansai the following day at 1735.

Air Canada is deploying its Boeing 787-8 Dreamliner aircraft to Osaka, with 20 seats in 1-2-1 business class, 21 in 2-3-2 premium economy and 214 in 3-3-3 economy class.

The resumption of flights to Osaka is part of Air Canada’s greater expansion across the Asia-Pacific region which also saw the Star Alliance member resume service to Singapore in April.

Singapore is Air Canada’s second destination in Southeast Asia, following Bangkok.

In the Northeast, the flag carrier is flying to various destinations across China, as well as to Seoul and Hong Kong.

The airline recently increased its frequency on Hong Kong-Vancouver to up to 11 weekly services, including both morning and evening departures, and Air Canada earlier this month added a new service between Seoul Incheon and Montreal.
