Turkish Airlines has launched a new sustainability initiative called “Tomorrow On-Board”, which will involve a new cohesive set of principles through which the airline will govern its commitment to sustainability, along with sustainably-made inflight products.

The announcement was made earlier this month in line with World Environment Day, with a special event held at Turkish Airlines’ main hub, Istanbul Airport. At the event, the airline displayed sustainable in-flight products and services, along with an exhibition titled “41.2607° North and 28.7424° East” that showcasing a curated selection of artworks created by interdisciplinary artists, made from repurposed aircraft parts such as elements of a decommissioned aircraft, flight crew uniforms and bags, cabin carpets, and seat fabrics, to emphasise the goal of a better world.

Representing the scope of Turkish Airlines’ future goals, “Tomorrow On-Board” hopes to inspire passengers and investors alike with a comprehensive vision as part of the corporate culture. The initiative was created with several key objectives in mind, including: enhancing the brand image, delivering a unified message and visual framework for all sustainability statements, systematically communicating sustainability activities to investors, and ensuring passengers have the opportunity to take part in sustainability initiatives.
