Intercontinental Hotels Group has announced plans for two new properties in the Peruvian capital Lima.

Construction has begun on the Intercontinental Lima Miraflores and the adjacent Hotel Indigo Lima Miraflores, with both hotels expected to open in 2022.

The Hotel Indigo property will be the first for the brand in South America, and will offer 76 rooms, as well as a fitness centre and “upscale, locally inspired restaurant and bar”.

The Intercontinental Lima Miraflores meanwhile will feature 322 rooms across 20 floors, with facilities including a fine dining restaurant, two bars, a rooftop lounge, a spa, fitness centre, Club lounge, 1,000 sqm of meeting space, and “the largest outdoor hotel pool in Lima”.

There will also be underground parking with access to Alcanfores Street, and gardens shared across the two hotels which can be used for outdoor functions.

There are currently three IHG properties in Lima – the Crowne Plaza Lima, Holiday Inn Lima Airport, and Holiday Inn Express Lima San Isidro – with a fourth set to open in Miraflores under the Holiday Inn brand by the end of this year.
